Description Drilling Contest in Chewelah 1908 This picture was taken by Steelhead on a glass neg. The occasion was a rock drilling contest -July 4 1908. Excavation in foreground was for the Yale Palace. Extreme right is Club Bar and Cafe (2003 Senior Hall), next is Spedden Livery Stable, center is Dentist Office,this building was moved down from Embry(2003 it is still in use). Last building is the Chewelah Hotel.
