Description: Yellow Pine Milling Co. 1903
Unknown to many, this mill operated for some time at the foot of Savage Hill. The Lewis log house can be seen in background. Operator of the mill was Fred Archibald. Although not a man is in sight, the mill was operating at the time as evidenced by smoke from the stack and a wagon partly loaded in the center of the picture. The washing is out at the home in upper left of picture, probably around 1903.
