This is a rare picture that shows a horse-powered threshing outfit. Six teams of horses at left, traveling around the capstan provide the power which is carried to the separator by means of a shaft which can be seen slanting up the side of the separator. There is no blower to stack the straw. The men stack do it by hand. Grain in forked from stack with Jackson Fork. |
